Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator Description
Our client in the industrial distribution and manufacturing industry is looking for an Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator to add to their team. In this role, you will manage purchasing activities and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure the smooth flow of materials throughout the organization. You will work closely with vendors and internal teams to support cost control, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure timely procurement of materials. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong negotiation skills. Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator Responsibilities
• Process purchase orders, requisitions, and vendor agreements
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
• Utilize ERP or inventory management systems to track stock levels, generate reports, and maintain accurate purchasing records
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and receiving teams regarding incoming shipments
• Resolve vendor, shipping, or invoicing discrepancies
Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator Qualifications
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial distribution environment required
• 3+ years of inventory management/purchasing experience required
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
