Quality Manager (Manufacturing/ISO 9001 exp req) Description
Our client is looking for a Quality Manager to add to their team. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will own the QMS and drive continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the organization. Quality Manager (Manufacturing/ISO 9001 exp req) Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, maintain QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and other regulatory standards
• Coordinate and lead audits (internal, customer, third-party); ensure timely resolution of findings
• Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and conduct root cause analysis
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, other quality methodologies
• Maintain quality procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and other QMS documentation
• Monitor and report quality performance, trends, and compliance metrics
• Supervise, mentor, and develop quality inspectors and technicians
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues and support product changes
• Develop/deliver quality standards, inspection techniques, and regulatory requirements trainings
• Maintain accurate employee training and qualification records
• Manage supplier quality performance, including audits, approvals, and corrective actions
• Support first article inspections (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities
• Monitor/reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ), including scrap, rework, warranty claims, returns
• Partner with Finance /Operations to evaluate financial impact, identify cost-saving opportunities
Quality Manager (Manufacturing/ISO 9001 exp req) Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field required
• 5+ years quality experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Management experience required
• In-depth knowledge of applicable quality standards and regulations (ISO 9001) required
• Experience with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analysis required
