Supply Chain Analyst (Manufacturing/Distribution Exp Req) Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to add to their team. Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will support purchasing, inventory, material planning, supplier performance, and inbound freight activities, while using detailed data analysis to improve supply chain issues, drive improvements in efficiency, and support meaningful decision-making. You will work closely with internal customers and departments to keep materials flowing and customer commitments on track. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who is comfortable working with data and has supply chain experience in a manufacturing or distribution-based environment. Supply Chain Analyst (Manufacturing/Distribution Exp Req) Responsibilities
• Analyze supply chain data to support purchasing, inventory, production, and business decisions
• Generate recurring reports and flag shortages, past-due orders, and key trends
• Analyze demand, inventory levels, safety stock, and POs to ensure material availability
• Assist with opportunities to improve inventory levels and turns
• Provide buyers with PO, supplier performance, lead time, and inbound freight analysis
• Support supplier issues, cost analysis, and lead-time analysis
• Maintain accurate item master and purchasing data in ERP
• Collaborate with internal department to resolve data issues and support material availability
• Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes, reporting, inventory, data accuracy
• Participate in continuous improvement, Lean, and interdepartmental projects
• Investigate trends and exceptions, identify root causes, and develop practical recommendations
• Support supply chain needs, product changes, and new business initiatives
• Support business decisions by providing accurate and timely reporting
Supply Chain Analyst (Manufacturing/Distribution Exp Req) Qualifications
• 3+ years supply chain, purchasing, materials, inventory, planning experience required
• Experience in manufacturing/distribution environment required
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and XLOOKUP required
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Power BI or other reporting tool required
