Director of Operations Description 

Our client in the commercial lighting industry is looking for a Director of Operations to join their team in Nashua, NH. Reporting directly to the President, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations while bringing structure, improved systems, and energy to a growing team. 

This is a high-autonomy role for an operations leader who wants full ownership of operations and a direct line to the President, with a clear path to grow into a GM/VP-level role as the company scales.  This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the company’s growth and success.

Director of Operations Responsibilities

•    Lead and develop the operations team (4 direct reports) 
•    Establish consistent processes and best practices to improve efficiency and execution 
•    Own inventory forecasting, material requirements, purchasing, and stock/transfer management
•    Lead the implementation and optimization of NetSuite and related operational systems 
•    Partner with Project Managers to improve planning, documentation, and operational execution
•    Identify inefficiencies and reduce unnecessary costs including freight and rush shipments
•    Manage the company's safety program and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
•    Oversee product returns, claims, and resolution with internal teams and external partners
•    Manage multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines and customer commitments
•    Partner directly with the President on operational initiatives and business growth

Director of Operations Qualifications

•    5+ years of hands-on experience in operations within distribution required 
•    Ability to scale and adjust to shifting priorities and changing business needs required
•    Experience leading and developing teams required 
•    Proficiency with ERP, inventory management, or similar systems required
•    Experience improving processes and operational efficiency required
