Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 + Profit Sharing + Benefits

Our client, a leader in Building Automation Systems (BAS), is seeking an Entry-Level Controls Programmer to join their team near Dulles, VA. You'll be trained in HVAC, lighting, and building automation controls and obtain the skills you need to become a Building Automation Systems Programmer. You will learn how to develop and deploy intelligent automation solutions for HVAC and energy management systems. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with basic exposure controls script programming and wants to break into the growing field of Building Automation Systems (BAS). Entry-Level Controls Programmer (Basic Scripting exp req) Responsibilities

•    Participate in structured internal training and shadow experienced programmers
•    Learn to program HVAC, lighting, and building control systems using industry-standard tools
•    Support field commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of BAS systems
•    Translate functional specs and schematics into working code
•    Document programming logic and maintain version control for active projects
•    Write and refine automation scripts to optimize building performance
•    Translate system drawings into fully functional software
•    Work with engineers and field teams for seamless deployment
•    Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software and system issues
•    Support ongoing improvements and system updates
•    Ensure successful project turnover to the service department

Entry-Level Controls Programmer (Basic Scripting exp req) Qualifications

•    Basic Scripting or PLC programming exposure or experience required
•    Desire to learn HVAC, energy systems, and building automation required
•    Familiarity with control systems or building schematics required
